Tour Our Comfy and Cozy Fall Home!

Tour our comfortable and cozy home decorated for fall!

Welcome to my fall home tour! This is one of my favorite posts all year.

My decor preferences overall (from colors to textures) lean "fall" anyway, so this is the time of year I feel like our home really shines!

I prefer warm, rich colors and incorporating brass and wood decor accents. This time of year, more is MORE in our home. :)

We'll start the tour in the entryway, where I decorated our Everett table with faux stems in dusty pink and plum colors:

On the other side, I filled this glass candle hurricane with little acorns and pine cones:

I piled my wicker pumpkins on the lower shelf, along with dried hydrangeas in a faux leather basket:

Everything goes so well with the lovely rug I added a few years ago. It's so pretty!

I keep most of our Halloween decor to the basement (and outside), but I have a few touches on the main level. I shared these fun "Harry Potter" floating candles with you a few weeks ago:

The new wall color in our dining area (called Pachyderm by Sherwin-Williams) was the perfect neutral backdrop for the warm fall colors.

I always incorporate as many of these panicle hydrangeas in my fall decor as possible:

Hydrangeas are so easy to dry -- just put them in a vase with or without water and they will dry out perfectly! Check out how I remove bugs from my cut flowers here

The lighter tones in this space make the warmer colors pop. That tabletop art easel is one of my favorite finds this year:

I sprayed it black and then added an inexpensive print from Etsy for the frame.

I often say just changing out some pillow covers and throw blankets goes a long way when decorating your home seasonally.

I love switching out the covers on the window seat pillows for the holiday season:

I'll add to that -- change out some pillows, blankets and bring in some flowers and you'll be set! :) I don't do much with the center of our table...centerpieces on a table we use every day will just get in the way.

A big vase with dried flowers is easy to move when needed:

I always have fun adding little autumn touches to our kitchen as well. I love using trays to corral things we use often. They are easy to decorate for fall:

I found that amber butter dish at Hobby Lobby a couple of months ago. (I always get asked about our butter -- I've kept ours covered on the counter for as long as I can remember!)

Those copper salt and pepper grinders will fit in perfectly all year round, but look especially pretty right now!

I love using little railings with hooks (I find my Hultarp rails at IKEA) in our kitchen to hold oven mitts, mugs and small cutting boards. The rattan basket is always filled with seasonal stems:

I may use that basket on our front door this Christmas. :) I got that forever ago but this hanging wicker basket is similar.

The hefty floating shelves I built next to our fridge are so fun to decorate. I found a couple of pretty fall printables on Etsy for the frames, and used a mix of floral stems I use throughout the year for the brass bowl on the top shelf:

The mix of rich colors, metal tones and wood warm this corner up nicely!

And it's still perfectly functional -- we use this area as a beverage station. It holds everything we need from coffee to wine:

I've shared a bit of our fall family room decor this season already. I stuck with a more traditional color story of browns, rust and burgundy throughout this space:

I used the same blue pillow covers I have out all year, and added a couple of these pretty floral covers with brown, cream and burgundy I found over the summer:

They are so pretty! I brought out a couple of my plaid pillow covers with those same warm tones as well.

The superstar in our living room is the beautiful mantel decor:

I went with a mix of evergreens and fall leaf stems this year, and it my favorite mantel I've created in any season!

I later added these amber fairy lights throughout, so it looks even prettier at night.

It's been so cool in the mornings and evenings...perfect for a fire!

I found three of our four animals all comfy and cozy while I was taking photos for this tour:

So sweet!

I made a video tour and shared to my YouTube channel if you'd like to see these areas in "real life."

Do you decorate for the fall season? I enjoy it so much, I would even if it wasn't my job. ;) I hope you enjoyed the tour, and please let me know if you have questions about items or projects featured.

Now...who is getting excited about Christmas?! 😁
