Our 2022 Christmas Home Tour {Tons of Decorating Ideas}

2022 Thrifty Decor Chick Christmas Home Tour

There's so much holiday decor I haven't shown you yet this season! Time seems to move twice as fast in December, right?

I shared our cozy basement a couple weeks ago and our main living room tour a few weeks ago:

Today I walked through the house and took photos of the spaces I haven't shared with you yet. This is also a nice way to round up some of the projects I completed this year!

I didn't add as a much to the front porch as usual, but I love it how it turned out! I hung fresh, real garland around our Craftsman style door

I got the cute Santa mailbox at Cracker Barrel years ago. :)

Those faux topiary balls in our planters have held up GREAT -- they're perfect for the winter months!

In the foyer, I added my favorite glass trees (from Target a few years ago) and some greenery draped over the mirror:

That beautiful metal leaf garland from Target was my favorite find this year:

Colby says hello! :)

I used the metal garland on our family room mantel as well!:

It's so pretty and easy to bend and manipulate how you want.

Our Letters to Santa mailbox (no longer available from Target) sits on my desk:

I added a few little holiday touches on my green DIY bookcase wall
berry and snow wreath

And these fun ornament patent printables are such an easy way to add a festive touch:

I had them printed at the drug store and just tape them to the glass.

Our kitchen was so fun to decorate this year! I added our cutie reindeer cut outs on my DIY vent hood cover:

The reindeer were from the craft store and super cheap! I thought for sure I had a sleigh as well, but that disappeared years ago.

The chunky floating shelves I built over our "beverage bar" are so fun to decorate!:

The Santa art is really this tea towel -- I gave one to a friend and loved it so much I got one for myself!

Other than that, I just have a couple holiday touches here and there around the space...kitchens are so fun to decorate for the holidays:

I hang these small boxwood wreaths in our dining room windows every year:

I covered the outsides of those bells with some gold Rub 'n Buff to add a little bling.

I always struggle with centerpieces -- I don't want them to get in the way of eating.

So I like using trays so we can easily move the decor around:

The soft faux greenery was on sale at Afloral years ago, and I LOVE it. SO realistic! I think I found the red berry picks at Hobby Lobby.

The tray is an old one I've spray painted many times...and I did one more time. 😄 I sprayed it black this time, and added that touch of gold Rub n Buff around the top.

I made these BELIEVE wood plaques last year and they're such easy an display for our dining room buffet:

And of course, some cute pillows and a soft blanket are a staple on the window seat! The cats LOVE this spot:

The new floral wallpaper I hung in our powder room has made this one of my favorite rooms in the house!:

Those cute little wood and glass trees were from the Target dollar spot (last year I believe?). A few of them were black and I sprayed them a dark blue to match the wallpaper.

I showed you our fun basement holiday tour recently:

I went with simple touches on the bookcases in this room -- mostly just tufts of greenery here and there:

And a little DIY wreath around the horse's neck!:

I love using what we already have on display to decorate for Christmas -- you don't need all new decor items! Using ornaments and greenery to fill up bowls and vessels is way cheaper than filling spaces with themed decor.  :)

I'm not sure if I'll be back here before Christmas, but either way I'll be sharing the start of our basement kitchenette next week! I'm so thrilled with the progress so far!

If I don't "talk" to you before, I hope you have a lovely, healthy and safe holiday. Take care of yourself and those you love!
