Our cozy Christmas basement tour

As with the family room and kitchen tours, I'll share the photos and keep the "talking" to a minimum. I'll link to items and projects under the images. If I miss anything, let me know!
I moved our World Market table (one of my favorite pieces) down here a few months ago and it's PERFECT in this spot:
I also switched a couple small tables in the house awhile back and they look SO much better in their new spots. You can see what used to sit in this spot here -- and this one fits so much better at the bottom of our stairs:
I mean...that's about the best thing ever! I am buying a stand up tree cover this year though. :)
I have BIG plans for that TV wall...someday. It's a large wall that is calling out for some built ins:
When these light bulbs go out I plan to replace them with the daylight bulbs I love. I prefer them in areas where we don't have a ton of natural light.
You can read all about the sectional here. It's held up wonderfully -- although we don't sit on it every day. But it's gotten a lot of use over the past year:
I get asked about that table that slides under the sofa a lot -- it's so convenient! You can find it here (affiliate) -- just be sure to measure the height of your chair and/or the arms because it doesn't fit over the arms on most of the furniture we have.
I LOVE having the window in here -- the IKEA drapes (Sanela version) block the light completely if we are watching movies or TV during the day:
Other than the tree, I didn't decorate for the holidays down here last year since we had just been in the house for a couple months. It was so fun to add some holiday touches in this space!
You can find most of the sources for everything in this room in this post -- be sure to check that out if you're curious about anything. If you have any questions, please ask away!
Thanks for all your kind comments on the spaces so far! I've had a blast decorating our "new" house this year...we fall more in love with our home every day.
It looks so cozy! Where did you get the galvanized house lantern on the hall table?
ReplyDeleteWalmart! :)
DeleteSuch a great lower level you have. Lots of light and a large window. It's just as cozy as your upstairs family area and it decorates just as well. I liked your other house but can see why you chose this one also. Looking forward to your "new" projects in 2019 as inspiration for my own. I need to get busy .....
ReplyDeleteYour basement room looks so great! Where did you find the gold tray and the little house sitting in the tray?
ReplyDeleteBoth from Target! The little house was in the dollar section this year. :)
DeleteWhere is the 'born & raised' sign from? I love it!
ReplyDeleteYour family room/basement is the coziest ever!!!! What an amazing space, I'm sure your son and his friends love having their own space to hang out in!
