Tons of fun themed and decorated kid's rooms ideas.
I have to start with this AWESOME pirate room at Batchelor’s Way:
I saw this month’s ago and have admired it since – I think it’s SO well done. A bit of a theme but still classic. My son is all about pirates (and Legos, trains, ninjas, pretty much everything) and he would LOVE this.
My girl Chris at Just a Girl created an absolutely beautiful space for her beautiful girl:
I love that sweet pink mixed with the blue, and the rug is just the perfect little twist. Gorgeous!
Jennifer shared her son’s finished room and it looks SO good:
I LOVE that wood wall and the colors she used throughout. There’s some great storage in there too.
I think boys rooms are hard – and this one at Life as We Know it is so fun and colorful and bright:
I just love all the little details like the orange dresser, the chalkboard and the book shelves. This is a happy room! :)
The room Tiffany created for her kids was one of my favorites – it’s just beautiful!:
I love the combination of the gray, purple and yellow – so pretty.
Jaime and her husband made their basement space fun for both the adults and the littles:
Thing is, it’s not even technically a basement – it’s a tall crawlspace! I think that makes it even cooler!
My friend Beckie made over her son’s room and made it a SUPER fun place to be:
Aren’t those beds the coolest? Seriously, so fun!!
Amy also designed a sweet, fun room for her five-year-old:
The paper poofs and the vinyl dots are such inexpensive ways to make a big impact in a room – SO cute. (I shared how to make those tissue poofs here.)
This gorgeous nursery belongs to Cristina’s niece – her mama is talented, yes?:
There are so many lovely little touches in this room, you have to go check it out. Love it!
OK, can you imagine having this playroom at Simply Organized as a kid?:
Holy cats, that is AWESOME! I just think this is the bees knees – especially that there’s one for the girls and one for the boys. Coolest. parents. ever.
With all those girl rooms I couldn’t leave out the boys! I loved the inexpensive and easy touches Tamara added to her boys’ room:
Those headboards only cost $20 each to make – awesome! (You can see my tutorial for a tufted headboard here.)
Vel completed her son’s room and I love how it turned out! But that little reading nook is my favorite part, of course:
Ahh, nooks. I love them. That blue stripe around the room is awesome too, don’t you think?
If boys rooms are hard, then tween rooms are even harder. :) This sweet room at Finding Home is a perfect balance of in between for her tween girl:
I see a peek of an orange chandy in there too – I love how she mixed the colors in this space.
This nursery at Someday, My Favorite is a dramatic gray, and I love the wall art:
The walls are dark, but the colors and fun wall art lighten up the room and make it a very sweet space.
Kristen is renting and did a lovely job decorating her daughter's room without doing anything permanent:
I love how that wood wall looks behind the bed!
Angela did such a great job -- what a labor of love.
I am in love with Shelley’s new big girl room for her cutie:
Isn’t that tufted headboard amazing? It’s super thick – I love it. Go here to find out more about this sweet space!
I really loved Holly’s nautical themed room for her son:
What great rooms! I think this is my favorite link up of the series so far...I found so many cool kids spaces! My favorite has to be the pirate room, though. I wish I had such vision!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!! Now I'm off to pop the popcorn I didn't realize I was missing! Darn you! ;)
Thanks so much for the feature Sarah - oh how I love that Pirate room, and the bright boys room - all of them are such fun stuff! Love your bee's knees comment too! Thanks so much! Laura
ReplyDeleteWhat great rooms! I love that Tween room -- I would have loved that back in the day! ;-) Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove the soft blue and pink pastel girl's room that Chris created. Simple and very understated. Sometimes I think that people over design childrens' rooms. This one speaks to me since it is very unclutttered looking. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! Those are some amazing rooms. Thanks for sharing, Sarah! :)
ReplyDeleteThe bedroom with the girl and boy sleeping areas? Sheer genius! My brother and I might not have tried killing each other throughout our childhood if my parents had thought up something like that!
ReplyDeleteYou have got to stop talking about food! Popcorn, avocado ice cream, honestly! But these inspiring spaces do make up for it:) I've got to get my act together and finish up my son's big-boy room before he needs a tween boy room, which seems darn near impossible to pull off;)

ReplyDeleteOh wow, I would have LOVED that playroom!
ReplyDeleteI also really like the white tree on the blue wall, very pretty.
Sarah!
ReplyDeleteThank you SOOO much for featuring our fun playroom! I have to admit I was totally stunned to see that you featured my space - especially after seeing all of the other inspiring kids rooms.
Thank you so much!!! And anytime you want to come over and play, you're more than welcome! :-)
xo,
Samantha
My grown-up self likes the first two the best. (That girl's room looks absolutely beautiful) However, I know that I would have killed for a play room like the one you have highlighted. I think they win the Coolest Parents of the Year award. :)
ReplyDeleteOne day I will get up the guts to link up with everyone else, but everyone's projects are so amazing - it can be quite intimidating! Lol!
How did I miss your shout out of my son's room?! Thanks for the little feature, my friend texted me telling me it was here!
ReplyDeleteThis is bad, but I mostly just want to copy the girl's rooms you showed just because they are more fun! My poor son! haha
