It looks completely different and the cabinet color is the only thing that changed. It is SO bright and pretty, and looks so elegant now. It's a great transformation!
I loved this kitchen reno because they knocked out the ceiling and created this beautiful angled ceiling with beams:
I’m been drooling over Megan’s beautiful kitchen since the first time I saw it:
I love that so many details were thought out, in addition to it just being plain pretty. :) I really love that dark wood island with the marble top too. Told you…drool.
Christy’s is one of my favorites – here’s the after – she even painted the tile!:
That is a fearless woman and I love her for that.
I love that Holly’s space shows that a white kitchen doesn’t mean a stark kitchen:
The fun color is a perfect backdrop to the bright cabinets. How FUN.
Michelle’s redo was pretty spectacular too – and they went two-toned:
I love the black on the bases and white above!
I think I’ve highlighted Julie’s kitchen before, but I am again because I love it so:
There was an awful lot of wood going on before, so they painted the cabinets black, and added some major character by adding the ceiling beams as well. And I DIE over those windows over the sink.
My friend Jenny transformed another kitchen into a beauty with the power of paint:
And if you're looking for something other than black or white, this pretty taupey/grey color is lovely!
I loved this pretty two-toned kitchen makeover by Jane and Sonja:
The colors remind me of my gray and white kitchen transformation in our old house!
April's pretty farmhouse kitchen makeover is an example of how far simple changes will go:
What a pretty and bright kitchen! Love it!
This super cool bar in Breann's home is awesome:
She helped me paint my kitchen cabinets last year and her advice was so helpful! She is a pro!
It is so lovely! I love her red accents. You have to check out the before too!
I have been wanting to use those bricks for years now…someday I'll find a spot. They look so good with the black cabinets!
I'm telling you, the before really shows you how big of a transformation this was. I LOVE her beautiful island!
Trish shared her kitchen renovation and it is a stunner! Such a big transformation:
Wow! The wood shelves are my favorite part I think. :)
Jill shared her kitchen renovation as well – that took her five years. This is a girl after my own heart, I tell you what!:
You have to check out her gorgeous DIY range hood and the countertops on her island. (My two favorite parts.)
Laura’s kitchen is gorgeous as well – she painted her cabinets and the backsplash and the difference is astounding:
Her floors, decor and countertops keep a warm feel in this space. It is gorgeous!
I’ve been watching Sally’s kitchen renovation for months and the final result did not disappoint!:
That big island has all kinds of storage and functions, love it all!
Bethany’s kitchen has been undergoing a redo and it looks SO good:
I especially love the detail they added to the island and I dig the blue color. (My island is light blue and I still love it.) Her before and after is pretty amazing, check it out here.
Jamie’s kitchen turned out beautifully! I love the warm wood island:
It’s so bright and pretty!
When you see the before of this kitchen you'll know why I had to add it:
Kaylor’s kitchen is stunning! OH my goodness. The furniture, the colors – all of it is lovely.
Megan’s before and after is spectacular – what a difference paint and tile makes!:
I LOVE that wall of tile. Love. And I love the two tone cabinets too.
OK, Vel’s kitchen isn’t super colorful, but I had to include it because I’m drooling over it:
You MUST to go see the before to truly appreciate it! Love it all.
I thought Karianne’s kitchen redo was SO fun!:
AND it was done on a budget. Such a fun space!
Liz’s before and after is so dramatic, you have to go see how it looked to fully grasp the change:
Paint my peeps – it will rock your world. :)
Love all these kitchens! :D They did a great job. I can't wait until we finally get to the kitchen. Some day... some day... :)
ReplyDeleteSuper features! I love the kitchen at 11 Magnolia Lane.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are some seriously stunning features, Sarah!! I'll have to pop by a few.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great momma you are, staying at home to see your baby's first baseball game! Good luck to the Bub. Go team! Have a fun weekend. =)

These are fabulous! I love looking at people's kitchens--we're renting right now so we're stuck with what the landlord put in, yick. Stained and peeling countertops, stained and peeling vinyl floors, stained and peeling cabinets. Someday!
ReplyDeleteAnd on a completely different topic... My parents were redoing their floors (Going from light to dark hardwoods), but my Mom couldn't figure out how to style/decorate around the new floors. I sent her a pic of your "after" floor post, and she got a lot of great ideas! She doesn't read blogs all that much, but she was really excited to discover you.
I love all these kitchens in all their pretty whiteness. My entire house is dark...dark cabinets, floors, counters, walls. I don't mind my dark counters, but am itching to paint my rotten cabinets a vintage white or stain over white.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you get to keep your neighborhood and view, for the meantime. I'm sure you're glad that whole mess is over!
I love all of these, but the white ones have a special place in my heart. I am in love with white kitchens. There is just something so fresh and clean about them, and you're right, they are timeless. Too bad more houses don't come with a white kitchen. I guess that's why there's so many DIY white kitchens out there!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the feature! What a way to start the weekend!! :)
ReplyDeleteSo many great kitchens!!!! Makes me want to paint my new cherry cabinets white.
ReplyDeleteI'm so honored to be featured among such GORGEOUS spaces! I hope the bub had fun at his baseball event--I'm sure you had fun cheering along :)
ReplyDeleteI also have a white kitchen with white carerra marble subway tile backsplash and a carerra slab island. I just put in Ballard Designs white coral chandelier over the island...looks FAB!
ReplyDeleteI have to say...I have always built houses with white kitchens and I am always encouraging (more like BEGGING) my clients to paint cabinets if they are looking for a quicker, cheaper fix to a kitchen...but they are HARD work! I am constantly wiping, dusting, and cleaning them!! My last kitchen was worse though--I had white cabs. but also absolute black granite that I was a SLAVE to!! Triple UGH! No matter how much extra work--I would do a white kitchen agian and again though! There is nothing cleaner and more timeless looking!
I hire this excellent painter in my area(NY) to paint cabinets and he adds something (an additive) to the paint for a super smooth finsih so you never see any brush strokes and it looks like a factory finsih everytime!! AMAZING! I am not sure what it is though??
Good luck with baseball and you wkend project! I don't know how you find the time--I feel like my weekends involve laundry, laundry and more laundry!!:)
Wow--what an awesome group of kitchens (and bloggers!) I'm hanging out with! Thank you for the feature! Love those black cabinets, even though I am so done with painting cabinets (at least until our next house!). @Amy--maybe it was Penetrol your painter used? --Christy@11MagnoliaLane
ReplyDeleteYou are such a good momma to stay for your little bubs game! Good luck to him!
ReplyDeleteThat first one is gorgeous!!! We just redid our kitchen so I'm wondering: will the black and white with chrome fixtures become dated, or is it really timeless? (please be timeless, ha ha!)
ReplyDeleteI totally am in love with white kitchens and didn't even know it. I started a Pinterest board a couple weeks ago along with my new blog. I pinned away on a Kitchen Love board, and then looked at what I had pinned and it is almost all white! The kitchens you showed are beautiful and I can't wait to look at all of the party's entires when I have time!
ReplyDeleteWow! I had no idea you featured my BLACK kitchen! Thank you so much!!! My views have been up, now I know why ... It's DECOR CHICK! Woohooo!!!

Thank you so much for the great feature Sarah! It is such an honor to be on that list with some fabulous kitchens! Hope you had a great weekend of baseball!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous blog - I just stumbled upon you and have fallen in love! Thanks so much for sharing... I will be back because I am now your newest follower! Have a great day. Jalon
ReplyDeleteI had a dream about you last night.
ReplyDeleteI went out to get the mail, and you were standing in the middle of the street with two children that were crying, and clinging to you.
At first I thought "Wow, I didn't know Thrifty Decor Chick was my neighbor!...I think I'll just play it cool and get my mail."
But then it looked like you were desperate for help with these children, so I took one of them from you. We started showing the kids how to pretend to be race horses so we didn't have to carry them home.
When we got to your house, you were having a party and asked if I could help. I spent the whole night cleaning, and helping you host. It was exhausting. I even fell down because I was so tired, but the party wasn't over so I kept working.
The moral of the story?
If I see you on my street, I'm just going to ignore you and pick up my mail.
I'm just sayin'.
I so appreciate your round-ups I just don't have the time to click through all the links so I do check a few that catch my eye, but it so great to see some of the highlights get a post of there own. Keep it up.
ReplyDeletewhat I wouldn't tie for a gorgeous kitchen like one of those!!! Someday...
ReplyDeleteBest,
Colleen @ Meet the Sullivans

All of these kitchen designs are amazing, especially the third to the last photo with the dark wood finish. That is one fine interior design - love it!
